Sourcing policy
Prescott Event Hub uses automated research to find public events and to recheck sources already on the list. The review records what a public page said at the time it was read.
Which sources count
The review looks first for a page from the venue, the organizer, a government body, or the official ticket seller. Another calendar can be a lead that points the review toward an event. A lead is not treated as the organizer's own statement when a primary page is available. The source named on a listing is the page that was recorded for it.
What “source checked” means
A recorded check means that source was examined at the time shown. It is not an endorsement by the organizer. A successful fetch is not a comprehensive verification of every event that source may publish. The source list also keeps partial and unresolved states: needs a deeper check, fetch unavailable, and needs source discovery.
Conflicts, prices, and uncertain details
When sources disagree, the listing does not invent a compromise. It keeps the detail a primary source states, or it leaves the detail unresolved when the pages do not settle it. A price is the wording the source published. The guide does not infer a missing price. A missing clock stays “Time: see source” rather than being filled in.
Cancellations, postponements, reschedules, and duplicates
A canceled event stays on its page with that status. A postponed event keeps its original date when no replacement date is published. A rescheduled event is listed on the new date and keeps the earlier date. Two records stay separate when the dates differ, or when both have a known start time and those times differ. A confirmed duplicate is retired so one listing remains, and the old address redirects to it.
A correction and a fresh check
A correction that changes a public detail, such as the date, place, price, or status, updates the listing's content time. A fresh check that finds no change updates the check time only. The content time stays where it was, and the sitemap follows the content time.
What the guide includes
The inclusion rule is unchanged. The guide covers public events in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, and Dewey-Humboldt, in every existing category, paid and free, including publicly attendable civic meetings. It leaves out closed campus-only events, private meetings, and events outside those four cities.
Coverage
Coverage is developing. Some sources are blocked, incomplete, or still missing a public page. Source availability varies. A gap on this site is not a claim that the community has nothing scheduled.
